Ralph L. Lowe

Ralph L. Lowe, age 97 of Massillon, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2010 at Hospice Care Center in Akron. He was born on April 16, 1912 in Linden, WV, the son of the late Robert and Laura Lowe. Ralph lived in the area most of his life. He was a United States Veteran and served in the Army during WWII. Ralph worked at Republic Steel for 25 years, retiring in 1976. He was a member of the Canton Baptist Temple. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Darlia Ellen (Helmick) Lowe in 2009, his sister, Pearl Thomas and his brother Carl Lowe. Ralph is survived by his step-children and their spouses; Melvin & Donna Conley and Benny Conley & Rose Martin both of Massillon; his grandchildren, Bridget Hicks, Brenda Conley, Chad Conley, and Pam Conley; his great-grandchildren, Melanie, Mikayla, Vendela, Sasha & Brody: his great-great-grandchild, Logan; his sister, Edie Bailey of Spencer WV and his brother Milo Spencer of Elkview, WV. Private funeral services to celebrate Ralph’s life will be held on Friday, February 12, 2010 at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. Rev. Dave Harmon will be officiating.
