Rachel Elizabeth Schmidt

Rachel Elizabeth Schmidt, age 21 passed away due to an unexpected accident. Rachel was born on July 04, 1993 in Canton to the late Janelle Roth Hannum and Brian Schmidt. Rachel was a 2011 graduate of Perry High School. Rachel attended Kent State University at Stark studying Communications. Rachel's true passion was helping people and she aspired to go into Social Services. She worked as an intern for Mental Health & Recovery Service of Stark County and also as a waitress at Max & Erma's. Rachel was an enthusiast of life, laughter, love, health, exercise, sushi, smiles & doing new things. She is survived by her sister Chelsea Schmidt; her brother Jacoby Schmidt; her Pappaw Wayne and Grammy Judy Hannum; her father Brian Schmidt and other countless loved ones. She was preceded in death by her mother Janelle Roth Hannum in 2011. A Celebration of her life will be held at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home on Friday, September 26, 2014 at 12 noon, Benjamin William Payne officiating. The family will receive friends from 10a.m. until the time of the service.
