Quentin 'Tom' Evans, age 94 of Massillon passed away Saturday. He was born May 16, 1919 in Navarre to the late George & Hester (Wilson) Evans. He served his country in the 3 C's branch of the Army Air Force during WW II. He was employed by Norfolk Western Rail Road as a machinist and retired in 1979 after 43 years of service. Some of his favorite past times were planting vegetables and flowers, reading the newspapers and watching the Indians and Cavaliers. He was preceded in death by his wife of 39 years Velma Evans (2011) and two sisters: Eileen Phillabaum and Gertrude Evans. Survivors include two daughters; Bonnie (Joseph) Poloschan and Sharon (Don) Rader. Grandsons: Ken (Tiffany) Poloschan, Todd (Cara) Polischan. Great granddaughters: Chloe, Kaylie & Summer and a niece Margaret (Jim) Arthur. Graveside service will be 11 AM Wednesday at Union Lawn Cemetery in Navarre. Fr. Thomas Cebula will officiate.
