Quentin B. Gerber, 89 of Massillon, died on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at Aultman Hospital. He was born on May 12, 1922 in Harmon, Ohio and was the son of the late Earl and Dorothy (Booth) Gerber. He was a veteran of the Army Air Force, serving in the European Theater during World War II. He retired from Jones & Laughlin Steel following many years of service. He was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather who enjoyed outdoor sports and was an avid bowler and card player. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Wilma Meeting. He is survived by his wife, Corrine A. (Reichel) Gerber with whom he spent 65 years of marriage, his children and their spouses, Greg (Loretta) Gerber, Debby (Dan) Stevoff, Becky Roth, Vicky Jo (David) Wills and Jeff (Malia) Gerber. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Funeral services will take place on Saturday at 11:00 A.M. at the Paquelet Funeral Home with Fr. Raymond L. Paul officiating. Burial will follow at Brookfield Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 5-8 P.M.
