Phyllis Yvonne Mcpherson

Phyllis McPherson, age 75 went home to be with the Lord on December 29, 2015. She was born in Zanesville, OH on May 25, 1940 to the late Melvin and Inez Faithful. Phyllis retired from Smith & Nephew - Perry after 45 years of service. She was a longtime member of Friendship Baptist Church. In her spare time Phyllis enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family and her Friday night date with her friends at Bradley Place. She will forever be remembered as a loving Nana She is survived by her children Katina Martin, Melissa (Phillip) Wollam and Lamont (Jestina) McPherson-Robinson; her stepson Lenward Robinson Jr; her grandchildren Torrice (Carmita)Robinson, Jessica Garner, Katia Williams, Whitney Robinson, Tasia Lowery, Jase Lowery, Lamont Tyler Robinson II, Shailan Martin, Kailan Martin, Israel Robinson and Luke Wollam; 18 great-grandchildren; her sisters Sue Curtis and Gail Curtis and a host of friends at Bradley Place. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Melvin Faithful Jr; her sister Sandy Henderson; her former husband Lenward Robinson Sr., and her longtime faithful canine companion Chauncey. A Homegoing Celebration will be held on January 04, 2016 at 12 noon at Friendship Baptist Church - 920 3rd Street SE, in Massillon. Pastor Reginald Hye officiating.
