Pete Mccune

Herbert “Pete” McCune, age 79 of Massillon died Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at Affinity Medical Center – Massillon Campus. He was born on July 19, 1928 in Amma, WV and was the son of the late Preston & Della (Ledsome) McCune. He was an area resident since 1952. He retired from Massillon Spring & Rivet in 1986. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the U.S. Army. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sons, Troy & Travis McCune, 5 sisters and one brother. He is survived by his wife, Reliah H. McCune whom he married on March 29, 1952, his children and their spouses, Timothy (Joan) McCune, Thomas McCune, Todd (Peggy) McCune, Terry (Monika) McCune, Leanna (Scott) Wentzel and Lori (Tyrone) Woodring, 15 grandchildren and 1 brother and 4 sisters also survive. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday at 1:30 P.M. at the Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home with Rev. Jeffrey Baumer officiating. Burial will follow in Brookfield Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 6-8 P.M. and on Saturday one hour before the service.
