Peggy E. Burtt, age 69 of Massillon passed away Friday, February 20 at Hospice Care Center in Copley, OH. Peggy was born February 24, 1939 in Massillon to the late Arthur & Margaret (Fisher) Henry. She was a life resident of Massillon and a 1957 graduate of Washington High School. Peggy retired from EKCO in 1988. She was a life member of Myers United Church of Christ, helping with the strawberry social and other church activities. She used her time helping others, taking them to doctor’s appointments and errands. She followed all of the grandchildren’s activities and made a hand made quilt for each grandchild. She will be missed by her husband Robert L. ‘Bob’ Burtt Sr. with whom she shared 49 years of marriage on February 14th. They have four children and spouses: Terri & Kenneth Paulus, Robert & Jacquie Burtt II, William & Shelly Burtt and Holly & Dan Zerbe. She leaves five sisters and a brother: Norma Friend, Alice Ferguson, Donna Curtis, James (Ann) Henry, Janet Henry and Audry Henry. Grandchildren: Robert III, Tyler, Hunter, Katherine, Mitchel, Haley, Madelynn, and Zoey. A Celebration of Peggy’s life will be 10:30 AM Monday at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. Her final resting place will be Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday from 2-4 PM and one hour prior to the service on Monday.
