Paula Thompson Gordon

Paula Mary Thompson Gordon, 71, passed away on June 22, 2020 at Mercy Medical Center in Canton, Ohio. Paula was born in San Francisco, California on May 11, 1949, the daughter of Barbara and Wallace Thompson. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Industrial Design from San Jose State University and spent her early career as an Industrial Designer for Diebold, later becoming the company's first female engineering manager for the western United States. After having children, she was self-employed as a property owner. She had a knack for bringing out the best in every place she owned. Paula was an incredibly loving mother, wife, grandmother and older sister. She was selfless, always putting everyone else's needs before her own, and did everything in her power to give her children the very best life. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Gordon III; sister, Jennifer Lee; children, Matthew (Erica) Saracina, Morgan (James) Dailey and Josephine (Scott) Saracina; stepchildren, Mark (Nancy) Gordon and Tammy Gordon-Adams; and grandchildren Zoey Dailey, Aida and Adriana Saracina, Andrew, Wesley, Elijah, Elliot and Lucas Adams. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
