Paula Jo Rohrer

With great sadness, the family of Paula {Horsfall} Rohrer announces her sudden passing on April 16th, at 60 years of age.

Surviving to mourn her loss are her husband of 41 years and high school sweetheart, Rick; daughters Ashley and Andrea (Mark) Steiner; grandsons Henry and William; mother and step-father Dagna and William Wasem; mother- and father-in-law Theresa and Richard Rohrer; siblings Rebecca Brown, Marla Struhar and Andrew Wasem. She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Horsfall.

Raised in Bolivar, Ohio, and planting sturdy roots in Navarre in 2004, Paula and Rick built their dream. This was not just any home, this was Paula's happy place where she nurtured all that she loved. She fed hummingbirds, frogs and toads. She was always checking to see who was taking residency in her toadhouse, and would leave them bugs to eat. She grew rows and rows of hot peppers for canning there, with a recipe friends would beg for. She loved her daughters there. She adored her husband there. She loved her family hard. There will never be another love story like Paula and Rick's, a bond truly too profound for words. The only thing that rivaled that love, was her immense love for her grandchildren. She was made to love those babies. Many times over, Paula has said, "those boys saved my life, I live to love those boys." And truly, Paula lived to love all of us. She will be remembered infinitely. In lieu of flowers, with her spirit in mind, donations in her memory are suggested to the Aultman Cancer Center, a place that helped give us over two more years cancer-free, with our dear mom.
