Paula J. Kiko age 58 of Dalton, OH passed away Monday April 2, 2007 at her residence following a short illness. Paula was born April 11, 1948 in Massillon to the late Chester & Lois Pauline (Bretz) Baus. She was a 1966 graduate of Tuslaw High School where she participated in 4H. After high school Paula was employed at Lujan’s Restaurant as a car hop. One evening Jim Kiko drove in driving a little black car with big yellow daisies around the head lights. Paula said to the girl she was working with ‘look at that guy’s car’. That was it, they met in December, were engaged in February and married May 4, 1968. They have shared almost 39 years of marriage. Paula said, “I couldn’t have asked for a better soul mate – Jim I love you”. In 1979 they opened Kiko’s Greenhouse and Pottery in Dalton. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Massillon and FOE Auxiliary #190. Her personal interest was coaching the Cleveland Indians from her arm chair. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Bradley (1999) and twin brothers, Richard and Robert. She is survived by her husband James Kiko; two sons: Brian Kiko and Jamie and his wife Tammi Kiko all of Dalton. A sister, Joan (Russell) Ross of Strasburg and a brother, James Baus of Dalton. Grandchildren: Kyall, Kymbirlee, Darryn, Brandon, Shane, Brittany and one on the way. Funeral service will be 10 AM Friday at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon, her pastor Rev. Leslie Peine will officiate. Burial will be at Brookfield Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Eagles #190 Auxiliary will have a service Thursday at 5:45 PM.
