Paul William Haubert, 86, passed away on June 18, 2021, following an extended illness. He was born in Canton on July 15, 1934 to the late Albert and Mary (King) Haubert. Paul enjoyed his distinction as being retired from Dominion East Ohio Gas longer than he had worked for them, he was a very hard worker and a jack of all trades. He was extremely outgoing and friendly having never met a stranger. Paul was a firm believer in helping others and had donated over 105 gallons of blood in his lifetime at area blood drives and hospitals. He was always hopeful that his donation helped with a child’s life. In his retirement he lived in Florida during the winter months and embraced the Florida Snowbird Lifestyle. He was an avid gardener, loved cooking, fishing, playing the accordion and could fix just about anything. He was dedicated to his family. Paul was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and was an Army veteran. He is survived by his wife, Margaret “Maggie” (Bohus) Haubert, whom he married on September 9, 1991; children, Eric Haubert, Mark (Cindy) Haubert and Rebecca (Marc) Niquette; three grandchildren, Jake, Camille and Gabrielle; and a brother, Chuck Haubert. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Marie Herrin; and a step-son, Robert Daugherty. Friends and family will gather at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Thursday, June 24th, 2021 from 10am to 10:30am to process to a graveside memorial service at Brookfield Cemetery at 11am.
