Paul J. Renner, 85, of Navarre, OH passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 23, 1925 in Urichsville, OH the son of the late Paul J. and Jessica (Moore) Renner Sr. He was a steel inspector for Republic Steel retiring in 1984. Paul was a veteran of the United States Navy, and a former member of the Navarre V.F.W., the Massillon American Legion, and the Sons of Herman. He was a member of St. Clements Catholic Church. Paul enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling, and carpentry. He especially enjoyed his Boston Terrier “Pati”. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Surviving Paul are his children Mary (Tim) Gardner of Brewster, Timothy Renner of Navarre, Theresa (Dick) Wright of Surfside Beach, SC, Michele Renner of N. Canton, Herbert (Cheryl) Renner of E. Canton, Paulette (Tim) Miller of Massillon, Rita Polacheck of Massillon, Roy J. (fiance’ Robin Daut) Renner of Massillon, and Charlotte (Lon) Pritt of Georgia; grandchildren Michael, Richard, Amanda, Shawna, Ryan, John, Matthew, Nicole, Tristan, and Tonya; nine great-grandchildren; sisters Betty Metzgar, and Joanne Meyer both of Massillon. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Robert Renner, and his former wife Donna (Rearick) Johnson. Visitation will be Friday from 6-9 P.M. at Paquelet Funeral Home 1100 Wales Rd. NE. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Father Edward Beneleit officiating. Burial will follow in St. Clements Catholic Cemetery. Messages of comfort and support may be sent to www.paquelet.com.
