Paul Stanley, 89, of Canton, Ohio, passed away on Friday, April 7, 2023. He was born on September 9, 1933 in Cass, West Virginia to the late William and Margaret (Ludington) Stanley.
Paul was a Korean War veteran, serving from 1952 to 1956. He worked for Portec most of his career, and retired from Hendrickson-Turner. He always worked on the side, whether it be roofing, windows, or cement work. A true jack of all trades. He greatly enjoyed playing cards... for hours, fishing, hunting, and faithfully watching the Cleveland Indians. He loved his family and especially his grandkids and great-grandkids. Paul was an avid story-teller of his growing up in Cass West Virginia, and Vindex Maryland. He enjoyed woodworking, making various items in which he was so proud and all too often gave freely to friends and family. Later in life, he took up making fishing lures which he sold at flea markets and craft shows. His favorite place in the world was to be in the woods looking for deer rubbings or wild mushrooms. He loved flower gardening and enjoying just being outside and taking naps in the sunshine.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by 10 siblings with whom he is now celebrating a great homecoming.
Paul is survived by his children, Beth (Thomas) Seibert, Andrea Price, Paul Stanley, Jr., Jason (Lynn) Stanley, and Aimee (Todd) Dolph; 14 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brother, Marvin (Katie) Stanley of South Carolina; and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.
