Paul D. Cooper, age 83, of Jackson Twp., passed away on September 01, 2020. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on September 28, 1936 to the late Fred and Ruth (Calender) Cooper. He married Dolores Bednar on October 05, 1957 and they shared almost 60 years together until her passing in 2017. Paul enrolled in the Southern California Pipe Trades Apprenticeship Program shortly after his discharge from the U.S. Marine Corps. He spent the next 30 years as a General Foreman directing the installation of piping and HVAC systems in many of the buildings that make up the Los Angeles skyline. For many years as a father, he enjoyed his performance boats, water skiing and camping with his family. Always being a Cowboy at heart, he spent his later years enjoying team roping and hunting with his horses and family. He was a devoted family man and will be remembered as a loving husband, father and especially grandfather. He leaves to cherish his memory, his children Douglas (Antoinette) Cooper and Debra (Timothy) Abrigg; his grandchildren Alyssa Brady, Samantha and Sierra Cooper; his sister Maryanne (Larry) Ellis; his brothers Warren Cooper and Jerry (Debbie) Cooper. In addition to his wife and parents, Paul was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 2 sisters. A Celebration of his life will be held at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in North Canton at 10:00a.m. on Saturday, September 05, 2020. The family will receive friends at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Friday, September 04, 2020 from 6-8p.m. and from 9:30 - 10am on Saturday at the church.
