Paul "Smoke" Mossor passed away peacefully February 20th 2017 of natural causes. Paul was born in Canton Ohio to the late Clarence and Catherine Mossor. In his early years, Paul worked for his father whom was a master plasterer. Clarence was responsible for the stunning ornate moldings still seen today in the Palace Theatre and Frank T. Bow Building . Paul went on to serve in the Army as a Combat Engineer Paul was one of the early pioneers of "tilt-wall" construction and founder of Con-Wall custom concrete building systems. Rather than building a structure brick by brick-his system allowed for pouring a reinforced concrete slab and erecting it (a whole wall) at once. He was responsible for the construction of nearly every beer distributing company in and around Ohio. Some of his other notable projects were Sours /Avondale Schools, Bogarts and Subway Restaurants. Paul was a great thinker. Give him any problem and he would come up with a rational, practical solution. He brought comfort to many that sought his advice and was always ready to lend a helping hand. He also loved cook, write books and talk Politics. One of his favorite past times was horse racing. Many a summer you could find him at the Fairgrounds betting the horses with his (late) friends Newt McFarland and Bill Sweeney to name a few. They went on to own a thoroughbred race horse named "Rorty Hanover" that raced the grand circuit. Paul was preceded in death by two brothers Gene and John Mossor and Sister Norma Sponseller. He is survived by his two sons Paul Mossor Jr. (Betsy), Craig Mossor (Joni) and Brett (Beckie) Mossor-Taylor Grandchildren Craig Jr. (Maria), Matthew, Summer Mossor, Lindsey and Deidre, niece Laria Sponseller nephew David Mossor (Becky) and various other nieces, nephews. Calling hours will be held Monday, February 27, 2017 12:00 at Paquelet Funeral Home. Services will be held at 1pm with burial following immediately at Forest Hill Cemetery
