Patrick "Pete" J. Erfurth

Patrick Jay "Pete" Erfurth, 57 of Massillon, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 3, 2014. He was born in Canton, Ohio on December 17, 1956 to the late Betty and Robert Erfurth. He recently retired from Chapel Hill Community. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother Doris Erfurth. Pete is survived by his wife, Debbie whom he married on September 26, 1981, his three children, Jill (J.D.) Simons, Amy (Nick) Wengerd and Justin Erfurth, his grandchildren, Mason Simons, Haley Wengerd and Landon Wengerd. Also surviving are his sisters, Debbi (Tom) Murray and Judy (Richard) Thomson, his brother Mike (Robyn) Erfurth and many nieces and nephews. Pete was passionate about many things, from his family to his music and sports. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He brought laughter to everyone's life. He will be missed by many. A service to commemorate the life of Pete Erfurth will take place on Saturday at 2:00 P.M. at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Newmans Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 12-2 P.M.
