Patrick J. Davis, age 79 of Massillon, died on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at Meadow Wind Health Care Center. He was born on February 2, 1932 in Keyser, West Virginia and was the son of the late Dwight and Doris Davis. Patrick was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served his country during the Korean Conflict. He worked at Tyson Roller Bearing for 17 years. Patrick was an active member of Al-Anon for 38 years. He was a member of the Brewster Fish and Game Club. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters Betty and Janice and his brother Forrest. He is survived by his wife, Merrie Lou (Smith) Davis with whom he celebrated 56 years of marriage on June 20th. Also surviving are his daughter Peggy Davis, his son Michael (Brenda) Davis, his daughter in law, Renee Davis, grandchildren, Maureen Davis whom he helped raise for the past 14 years and Daniel Davis, great granddaughters, Ava Catherine and Kayla Marie Davis, 6 step grandchildren and 12 step great grandchildren, his brother William Davis and sister Mary Louise (Earl) McKenzie, his sister in law, Dorothy Kuhlins and brother in law, William O. Smith. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-5 P.M. at the Paquelet Funeral Home.
