Patrick Alan Hayes

October 16, 1950 — March 1, 2024

Patrick Alan Hayes, 73, of Jackson Township, was called home by his Heavenly Father on Friday, March 1, 2024. Patrick was born on October 16, 1950 in Canton, the son of the late Dale Hayes and Cedas Hayes. He retired from American Electric Power after 45+ years of service. He was a United States Army Reserve veteran. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and Pappy who always said "It is far better to give than to receive." You could always find him at one of his grandchildren's ballgames or baby sitting on a Friday. Patrick was a Lector at St. Mary Catholic Church and volunteered with Meals on Wheels and Akron Canton Regional Food Bank. He was an avid Cleveland Indians fan.

He is survived by his wife, Helen (Haiduc) Hayes with whom he shared 49 years of marriage; children, Heather (Bryan) Page, and Justin (Charlene) Hayes; grandchildren, Tyler Page, Hayden Page, and Rosemarie Hayes; sister, Sandy McCollum; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Sunday, March 10, 2024 from 2-4 pm. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 11, 2024 at 10:30 am at Divine Mercy Parish - St. Mary Catholic Church with Fr. John Sheridan officiating and Fr.
