Patricia Ann Wilson

Patricia A. Wilson, 60 of Massillon, passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2018. Patty was born on September 4, 1957 in Massillon, the daughter of the late Donald M. and Norma V. (Rohr) Scharver. She was a lifelong resident and a 1975 Washington High School graduate. Patty worked as a receptionist for the Independent and retired after 13 years of service. She was the family care taker. Patty loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Kenny and Gary Scharver; niece, Stephanie Endlich; and sister-in-law, Diane Scharver. She is survived by her loving husband, John Wilson, whom she shared 42 years of marriage; children and their spouses, Christopher (Laura) Wilson and Katie (David) Shilling; grandchildren, Daniel, Landon, Avery, and Mason; brothers, Donald (Joan) Scharver, Bruce Scharver, Gregory (Andrea) Scharver, James Scharver, and Robert Scharver; sister-in-law, Linda Scharver; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Massillon. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Friday from 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Aultman Compassionate Care Center.
