Patricia Ann Girt

Patricia Ann Girt, 91 of Massillon, passed away on Sunday, July 8, 2018. Pat was born on February 23, 1927 in Massillon the daughter of the late Orison and Hazel (Davidson) Hammer. She was lifelong resident of Massillon and previously lived in Dalton. Pat worked at the Massillon City Library. She was a member of St. Barbara Church, and the Columbian Ladies Guild of the K of C. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years James Girt; son, Richard Girt; and daughter-in-law, Donna Girt. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Kenneth (Linda) Girt, David (Julie) Girt, Robert Girt, Linda (Jeff) Sandrock, Sandra Girt, and Joan (Gary) Alexander; 13 grandchildren; 10 great - grandchildren; and her brother, Gene Hammer. The family would like to thank Dr. Kerrie David and the staff at both Stark Medical Specialties and Brewster Parke for their compassion and care. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 10 a.m. at St. Barbara Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow at Brookfield Cemetery.
