Patricia A. Oliver

Patricia A. Oliver, age 85, of Massillon, departed this life on November 27, 2021 following a period of declining health. She was born in Massillon on November 22, 1936, the youngest of ten children, to the late Frank B. and Josephine ( Schuhriemen) McGuire. Pat was a 1955 graduate of Washington High School. She married William K. Oliver on November 10, 1956. They shared 56 years together until his passing. She was a lifelong member of St. Mary’s parish where she also served as an usher. In addition to her husband and parents, Pat was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Elizabeth Oliver, her brothers Frank T. “Bud”, James, Joseph, Richard, Donald, and William McGuire, her sisters Kathleen McGuire, Marjorie Halter, and Mary Jo Thomas. She is survived by her children Jacqueline Bowers, Brian (Kathy) Oliver, Jennifer (Michael) Dominick, Susan (Ken McLaughlin) Courter, Daniel, Gordon, Charles, and William P. Oliver; twenty grandchildren Andrew (Megan) Varner, Marie (Floyd) Barnhart, Kathleen (Jason) Pantea, Jessica and Josie Oliver, Ryan Dominick, Stephanie (David) Stuck, Sara Oliver, Shannon, Nathan and Megan Courter, Ross, Emma, Audrey, Myles, Isabelle, Charles, Guinevere, Grayson, and Liam Oliver; and five great-grandchildren Nolan Barnhart, Wyatt and Reid Varner, Kennedy Pantea and Hadley Jo Oliver. Pat’s family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Mercy Medical Center, Amherst Meadows and Traditions Hospice for their compassionate care and support. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 3rd at St. Mary Catholic Church in Massillon beginning at 10 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin promptly at 11 a.m. followed by inurnment at St. Joseph Cemetery.
