Patricia A. (Murphy) Walkup-Blocher

Patricia A. (Murphy) Walkup-Blocher, age 58 of Massillon, passed away Monday, May 4, 2009 at the Legends Care Center in Massillon. She was born on September 30, 1950 in Orient Hill, WV the daughter of Woodrow and Dora (Taylor) Walkup. Patricia worked at White Oak Convalescent Home in Canton. She was a proud grandmother and loved all her children. She was preceded in death by her father, her husband Robert Murphy and her brother Eli Walkup. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Jennifer & Gunnar Lones and Robert Blocher, Jr. both of Massillon; her grandchildren, Joshua, Marcus, Leslie, Gunnar Jr., Kayla and Savannah; her mother, Dora Walkup of Rainelle, WV; her brothers and sister, Woody Walkup of Myrtle Beach, SC, Gary Walkup, Daryl Walkup, Jimmy Walkup, Sue Walkup and Jean Gladwell all of Rainelle, WV and many nieces and nephews. There will be no calling hours. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held in Orient Hill, WV at a later date.
