Ova A. Maxson, age 86 of Massillon, passed away Friday, June 25, 2010 at Affinity Medical Center. She was born on November 7, 1923 in Sisterville, WV the daughter of the late Samuel and Goldie (Moore) Nolan. Ova worked in house keeping at the old Massillon City Hospital for over 20 years and then moved to Tucson, AZ where she worked at the city courthouse for 12 years. She returned to Massillon in 2004 to be with her family. She enjoyed collecting miniature turtles, taking walks and listening to country music. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Price Earl Forester in 1985, 3 brothers, 6 sisters, 2 grandchildren, and 1 step-grandchild. She is survived by her children and their spouses; Ron (Janet) Forester, William (Barb) Forester, Barbara (Adam) Britton-Chavez, Margaret LaPorte, Charlotte (Mark) Miller and James Forester; 14 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 7 step-grandchildren. Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. at the Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home in Massillon. Pastor Chad Durfee will be officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Hills Burial Park.
