Otto ‘Putter' Daniels age 73 of Massillon passed away Saturday October 28, 2006 at his residence. He was born January 12, 1933 in Massillon to the late Otto & Helen (Reichel) Daniels. He was a 1950 graduate of Washington High School. Following high school he served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Putter was employed for 31 years by Republic Steel and retired as supervisor of Data Processing. He was a member of K of C #554, Moose #481 and the Sons of Herman. His passion was softball and golf. In 2000, he was inducted into the Softball Hall of Fame in Canton. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Kiefer. He is survived by Wife, Jeri (Wentzel) with whom he shared 50 beautiful years of marriage on May 26th. Children: Steve & Sherry Daniels of Brewster, Pam & Bob Fothergill of Massillon, Karen & Jim Stenger of Canal Fulton, Heidi Daniels of Richmond, VA. Grandchildren: Nicole, Janine, Nathan, Lindsey, Jonathan, Lauren & Katie; and one great granddaughter, Havyn. Sisters & Brothers: Carol Cain, Marilyn ‘Sis’Edie, Peg & Robert Dottavio, Sandy & Jerry Whisler, Rick Daniels all of the Massillon area A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 AM Wednesday at St. Barbara's Catholic Church in Massillon, his pastor Fr. Thomas Cebula will officiate. Burial will be at Brookfield Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon.
