Ordell L. Nyheim

Ordell L. Nyheim, age 95, of Canton passed away on February 3, 2021, after a brief illness. He was born in Granite Falls, Minnesota. Ordell served in the Navy during WWII on a troop ship in the south pacific as a gunner’s mate. He met his wife Vivian shortly after the war and settled in Canton in 1950. Ordell worked as a machinist and tool & die maker for Paumier Inc. until his retirement. Ordell was preceded in death by Vivian, his wife of 68 years; parents Gustav and Mildred Nyheim; children Steven and Stacy; grandchildren Crystal and Jeff. He is survived by his children David Nyheim, Ron (Dixie) Nyheim, Susan (Mike) Finsel, and Diane (Ed) Makowski; grandchildren Bryan, Chris, Dane, Nick, Matt, Rebecca, and Zachary; 11 great-grandchildren; siblings Darlene Black, and Paul Nyheim. Funeral service will be held at 11am on Monday, February 8, 2021, at the Paquelet Funeral Home. Livestream will be available for those who cannot attend at Facebook Live Streaming Visitation will be from 2-4pm on Sunday also at the funeral home. Final resting place will be at Westlawn Cemetery.
