Ora M. Harper, age 93 of Massillon, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 11, 2008. She was born on January 23, 1915 in Webster Springs, WV and was the daughter of the late George M. & Laura (McCourt) Westfall. She was a Massillon resident since 1951. Ora was a dedicated mother, homemaker and a member of Amherst Community Brethren Church. She will always be remembered for her strawberry rhubarb jelly which she shared with her many friends. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Rufus H. Harper, her son Carl Harper, son in law Robert Solon, daughters in law, Bonnie Harper and Brenda Harper, 4 sisters and 3 brothers. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Ellen & Bobby Chadwick of Richville, OH, Wanda Solon of Massillon, Carolyn & Karl Jackson of Interlochen, FL, Billy L. & Virginia Harper of South Carolina, Thomas E. & Connie Harper of Dunnville, Ontario, Canada, Bobby L. Harper of Massillon, John D. (and special friend Gie) Harper of Sierra Vista, AZ and Rodger A. & Janice Harper of Richville, 18 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and numerous extended family members. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday at 11:00 A.M. at the Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home with Rev. Calvin Hamblin officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6-8 P.M. and on Thursday one hour before the service.
