Ophelia K. Todd, age 95 of Massillon, passed away on Thursday, November 27, 2008 at Shady Lawn Nursing Home in Dalton, Ohio after an extended illness. She was born on July 30, 1913 in Greenville, KY and was the daughter of the late Webster and Annie Keeling. She was a Massillon resident for most of her life. She retired from Heartland Behavorial Health Care as executive director of housekeeping following 47 years of state service. Following her retirement, she volunteered at Heartland and the American Red Cross and spent many years taking care of her grandchildren and later her great granddaughter. She was a member of First Baptist Church and was active in many church activities. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar K. Todd in 1975, her brother Calvin Keeling and her sisters, Paula Keeling, Sadie Weaver and Lucille Tichenor. She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Calvin K. and JoAnn Todd of Massillon, her daughter and son in law, with whom she resided, Patricia A. and James “Brad” Wiles of Massillon, her grandchildren, who were the love of her life, Brett (Jennifer) Wiles, Marc (Allison) Wiles, Aaron Todd and McKenzie Todd and her great grandchildren, Britney Lorenz who was her precious angel and newborn Caylie Wiles. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, December 1, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at the Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home with Dr. Roger Alber officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Hills Burial Park. The family will receive friends on Monday one hour before the service. The family would like give special thanks to the staff at Shady Lawn for their kindness and loving care the last nine months.
