Ona Louise Risher

Ona Louise Risher (Lou) of Massillon, Ohio departed this life May 23rd, 2012. She was born February 10, 1928, in Huntington, West Virginia, and moved to Stark County in 1958. She was preceded from this life by her husbands, mother and dad, seven brothers and sisters, and six nieces and nephews. She is survived by sister Bonnie Fitzpatrick, daughter Marian Kasunick and son-in-law Bob Kasunick, daughter Billie Adams, son James McHenry and his wife Dorothy Gordon-McHenry, grandsons Jason Justus, Joseph Lorenzo III, Daniel Justus, and Nathan Gillespie, their wives and partners Debra Justus, Michelle Lorenzo, Jennifer Justus, and Erica Wasielewski, great-grandchildren Olivia Justus, Joseph Lorenzo IV, Emily Justus, Chelsea Lorenzo, Joshua Lorenzo, and Gianna Isabella Gillespie, and granddogs Kodiak and Benny. Lou retired from the printing industry in 1992 after 40 years, and was well respected and admired in her trade. She enjoyed doing volunteer work at the Massillon Library, Massillon Museum, and Catholic Charities Adult Day Care, and many activities, especially water aerobics class at the YMCA, card games, crosswords, and scrabble. She was a member of the Democratic Women's Society of Stark County, and led voter registration drives at the Amherst Meadows Independent Living Apartments, where she lived. Lou enjoyed living very much and is thankful for the joy and pleasant experiences with the many friends she has been blessed to know in this life, and will miss them all. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Paquelet and Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home in Massillon. Rev. Edd Matako will be officiating. Burial will follow at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call TONIGHT at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
