Norman N. Thompson, age 78 of Lauderhill, Florida, passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2006 after an extended illness. He was born on July 13, 1928 in Canton, Ohio and was the son of the late Alfred A. and Minnie (Bradshaw) Thompson. After graduating in 1946 from Canton South High School, Norman enlisted in the U.S. Army and served during the Korean Conflict. Following his military service, he began a 37 year career with the Ford Motor Company. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Fred, Herman, Lowell and Ancil Thompson. He is survived by his wife, Margaret A. (Starr) Thompson whom he married on June 19, 1954, son Dale (Marsha) Thompson of Lauderhill, FL, daughter, Susan (Charles, Jr.) DeChellis of Massillon, 4 grandchildren, Andrew DeChellis, Anna DeChellis, Mike (Kelly) Robinson & Cheryl (Jason) Sambataro and 2 great grandchildren, Stephanie Robinson and Bryce Robinson. A memorial service will be conducted on Wednesday at 7:00 P.M. at the Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home with Rev. John Stallings officiating.
