Norma Jean Smith

Norma Jean Smith, age 81, of Massillon, passed away Monday, November 12, 2007. Norma was born in Massillon on November 14, 1925 to the late Thomas and Anna (Blackwood) Moore. Norma was a graduate of Washington High School, before she went on to work at several bars where she was a waitress. Norma loved to spend time with her friends while bowling and playing euchre. Norma was an avid member of the Eagles 190# in Massillon, the Croation Club and the First United Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Loren McIntosh in 1977, 2nd husband, Clarence (Pete) Smith in 1977, seven sisters and three brothers. Survived by three sons, James R. Lawson of Canton, Richard A. Smith of Canton, Mike A. Smith of Massillon; two daughters, Linda L. Nielson of Idaho, Sandi K. Copeland of Massillon; special friend, Jean Ullmer of Englewood, Ohio; eight grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will take place on Friday at 11 A.M. at the Paquelet Funeral Home. The Paquelet Funeral Home is handling the services.
