Norma Jean Gleason

Norma Jean Gleason, 94, passed away peacefully in her home on January 16, 2022. Norma was born and raised in Massillon, Ohio and a graduate of Washington High School. She is the daughter of Mayme and Gail Eckard. Norma is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Stephen D. Gleason Sr., her sister Doris Rudy, and her son-in-law, Robert F. Allman. She is survived by her daughter Jody Allman, her son Stephen (Barb) Gleason Jr., grandchildren Jason, Jamie (Lyndsey), and Nicole, and great-grandchildren Austin, Nevaeh, Logan, Brayden, Ava, and Landon; many nieces, nephews and her favorite grand-dog, Louie. Norma was a loyal employee of 30+ years at McLain Grocery/Fleming. After retirement she moved to Walkertown, North Carolina where she loved having her children and grandchildren visit in the summer. She also enjoyed throwing parties with all of her ‘Alaska Street’ neighbors. Norma always thought of others before herself and loved lending a helping hand. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. A private service will be held for the family at a later date.
