Norma Jean Buchanan, 83 of Perry Township, passed away at Aultman Compassionate Care. She was born on May 10, 1929 in Canton, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Alvin Dwayne and Jesse Leona (Thorley) Christman. Norma was a member of the Canton Baptist Temple, where she was active with the Faith Builders Class. She was an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching the Cleveland Indians and Cavaliers, but especially Big Ten football. She loved her family and especially enjoyed being with her grandchildren. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Ford Buchanan and her brother Melvin Christman. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Scott and Debbie Buchanan and Beth and Bob Williams, her grandchildren, David (Julie) Buchanan, Lindsay Williams and Kylie Williams and her sister Karan Christman. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, December 7th at 11:00 A.M. at the Canton Baptist Temple with Pastors Mike Frazier and Delaney Young officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Hills Burial Park. The family will receive friends at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home on Thursday from 6-8 P.M. and on Friday one hour before the service at the church.
