Norma J. Hoobler

Norma J. Hoobler, age 87 of Canton, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at Rose Lane Health Care Center. She was born on August 19, 1926 in Massillon and was the daughter of Charles and Laura (Hamel) Masters. They preceded her in death. Norma retired from the Canton Police Department, where she was a secretary in the records department. She volunteered at St. Joseph's School Library and at the Aultman Pretest Department. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Bruce Minnich, her grandchildren, Jason (Jacque) Croston and Jennifer (Aaron) Brown and Gretchen Minnich and her fiancé Dana Bishop and her great grandchildren, Shannon, Cameron, Benjamin, Samuel, Caleb and Kelsey. A service to celebrate her life will take place on Monday at 11:00 AM at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Livengood officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Hills Burial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-4 PM.
