Nora L. Baker, 95, of Massillon, passed away peacefully at her home on July 15, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 15, 1925 in Navarre to the late Nicholas and Catherine (Hug) Langenfeld. Nora was a 1943 graduate of Navarre High School and was a proud member of the Navarre Rams Band. She had previously worked at Nickels Bakery and retired in 1987 after 30 years. Nora was also a twenty-year member of St. Barbara’s Catholic Church. In her younger years, she enjoyed bowling and playing cards. Nora was also very skilled at crocheting. Whether it was a new baby or a new spouse Nora was sure to crochet something beautiful for the occasion. She will be deeply missed by her son David Lee Baker and her daughter Cathy Ann Satterfield; grandchildren, Tracy Freeman, Jennifer Weirich, Jamie Knipl, Dawn Cassidy and John Clemons III, 9 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, sister Marie Boydelatour, and sister-in-law, Judith Langenfeld. In addition to her parents, Nora was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 70 years, Ralph Baker, infant children Eugene Kenneth and Richard Allen Baker, her brother Thomas Langenfeld and her son-in-law Todd Satterfield. Friends and family may come to call on Thursday, July 22, 2021, from 10-11 a.m. the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment will take place at East Union Lawn Cemetery in Navarre. There will be no formal procession to the cemetery, we simply meet there following the service. The family would like to give a special thanks to Absolute Hospice for their kindness and care while taking care of Nora.
