Nicolaus Paul Conzen

Nicolaus "Klaus" P. Conzen, age 87, of Navarre, surrounded by his loving family went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 23, 2015 following a brief illness. He was born on January 06, 1928 to the late Hubert and Anna Conzen in Bullingen, Belgium. He married Elvira Suzanna Oosterwyk on June 18, 1955 and they shared nearly 60 loving years together and she survives him. Nick, as a young man entered the Belgian Army, where he was stationed in Liege, Belgium. Following his tour of duty, Nick would soon begin a career that spanned 33 years at Nickles Bakery in Navarre. During his retirement, Nick devoted his time to his loving family, gardening and traveling. He was a 60 year member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Navarre. Nick is survived by his loving wife, and they would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in June; his children Linda (Gene) Risaliti, Mark (Rhonda) Conzen and Judy (Fred) Edgar; 8 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; a sister Hanny Greeven of Belgium and Hubert Lansch of Mexico. Nick was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Gretchen Conzen. A Mass will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church in Navarre on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 10 am. In accordance with Nick's wishes cremation has taken place and burial will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Holy Family Catholic Church or Crossroads Hospice.
