Nick Morris

Nicholas “Nick” Morris, age 82 of Massillon, died on Sunday, October 24, 2010 at Rose Lane Health Care Center. He was born on September 22, 1928 in Massillon and was the son of the late George and Mary (Elavsky) Morris. Nick was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Superior Credit Union in 2002 following 34 years of service as its founder and CEO. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Other memberships included the Orangemen, the Massillon Moose and the McKinley Eagles. Nick was an avid Massillon Tiger fan. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Daniel R. “Rick” Morris and his brother George Morris. He is survived by his wife, Vina Florence (Culler) Morris, his sister Helen Davis of Massillon, his stepson Gary (Betsy Eykyn) Goodman, his grandchildren Jon (Nancy) Harnisch and Johanna Szatmari-Goodman and 5 great grandsons. Also surviving is a special friend, Nancy Allman. Funeral services will take place on Thursday at 11:00 A.M. at the Paquelet Funeral Home with Pastor Chip Belanga officiating.
