Neva Jo Aventino

Neva J. Aventino, 81 of Canton, passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2016. She was born on July 19, 1934 in Pike County, Kentucky and was the daughter of the late Ransie and Roxie (Thacker) Chaney. She retired from the former Ameritech Company where she was a call supervisor. She was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. Along with her parents, Neva was preceded in death by her brother Jim Chaney and her sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Terry Kendrick . She is survived by her husband, Henry "John" Aventino, her daughter, Ella Roxanna (Mark) Brockert, her grandchildren, Sara (Jorge) Arganza, Kenneth Brockert II, Robert (Julie Haines) Brockert and Gabriella (David Wilson) Brockert and her great grandchild, Declin Brockert. Also surviving are her brothers, Ransie "Wad" (Jackie) Chaney and Don (Beverly) Chaney and her sister-in-law Virginia Chaney. Funeral services will take place on Monday at 11:00 am at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home with Pastor Ronnie Kendrick officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5-7 pm.
