Nellie Mick

Nellie M. Mick, 77, of Massillon passed away Tuesday evening February 10, 2009 at Rose Lane Health Center where she had been a resident for the past 3 years. Nellie was born in Cowen, W. VA the daughter of the late Lewis and Mary (Nutt) Weese. She was a homemaker and a member of the Massillon Baptist Temple. Nellie enjoyed gardening, country music and gospel music. She enjoyed traveling with the Massillon Senior Center. Nellie’s greatest love was spending time with her family. She is survived by her children James (Carmen) Mick of St. Clairsville, OH., Ernest Mick of Ft. Lauderdale, FL., Roy (Lori) Mick of Massillon and John (Robin) Mick both of Massillon, Linda (Darrell) Massie of Dalton, Betty Kovatch of Massillon, and Janey (Todd) Gehring of Jackson Twp.; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Mick in 1982, daughter Peggy Sue Mick, sister Stella Stanely, brothers Claude, Clarence, and Clyde Weese, son-in-law James Kovatch, and great-grandchildren Cameron Arthurs and Sarah Gerber. Calling hours will be Friday from 6-8 P.M at Paquelet Funeral Home 1100 Wales Rd. Massillon. Funeral services will be Saturday at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Pastor Cecil Thayer officiating.
