Nelda F. Diana

Nelda F. Diana, 86, of Jackson Township, passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2014. Nelda was born on July 18, 1927 in Massillon the daughter of E. Forrest and Ferne M. (Hollinger) Camp. Nelda was a lifelong resident of Massillon and a 1945 graduate of Washington High School. Following graduation she attended Canton Actual Business College. Nelda worked for Finefrock Furniture and Visiting Nurses Society of Central Stark Co. as office manager and bookkeeper. Nelda loved reading, cross stitching, knitting, gardening and watching the Cleveland Indians. She was a Girl Scout leader for many years and Mother Nature at Camp Lycopodia. She will be remembered by all who knew her for her loving support. Nelda was a member of The Order of Eastern Star Legacy #596, Spring Hill Historic Home, and Christ Presbyterian Church in Canton. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Kathleen Shiplett, and her aunt Nellie Layton. She is survived by her daughter Dianne Diana and numerous furry companions. A Celebration of Nelda's life will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at Christ Presbyterian Church in Canton. Pastor Dave DeVries will be Officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 13, 2014 from 6-8 P.M. at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon and on Wednesday from 9-10 A.M. at the church. There will be an Order of Eastern Star service at 5:45 P.M. on Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Camp Wakonda c/o Christ Presbyterian Church, Columbus Cocker Rescue, or Stark Co. Humane Society.
