Naomi M. Vance, 77, passed away on December 3, 2020, following a brief illness. She was born in Massillon on November 3, 1943 to the late Herbert and Bertha (Gamble) Flowers. Naomi retired from the Timken Company. The matriarch of her family, she was a very friendly and charitable woman. Naomi never met a stranger and was always smiling. Naomi was an upstanding member of The Kingdom Hall of The Jehovah’s Witnesses, Canton East Congregation, for over forty years. She is survived by her children, Betrina Tyson and Christopher Vance; twelve grandchildren, twenty-one greatgrandchildren; and siblings, Julia Flowers, Orlando Flowers, Daniel Flowers, Laura (Henry) Hicks, Lottie Shell, Vinnie Moore and Gary Flowers. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her siblings, Tommy, Herbert, Owen, Sallie Mae, Vernon and Lee Albert Flowers. Friends and family may gather at the Paquelet Funeral Home, Massillon on Saturday, December 12, 2020 from 11am - 1pm, when we will depart for a graveside service at Massillon Cemetery. Pastor Jimie T. Fowler, officiating. Continuing with COVID-19 precautions, all attending will be asked to follow proper social distancing protocol and masks are required.
