Naomi Jo Meek-Snyder, 81, formerly of New Philadelphia, passed away on June 19, 2023.
She was born on February 18, 1942 to the late Jontie and Louise (Belt) Garretson at Postboy, OH.
Naomi retired from Massillon State Hospital. She was a very social person, enjoyed being out and about. She was a member of The Army-Navy, Brewster Moose, and Navarre VFW. Naomi was a great cook and liked to share her food with friends and family.
Naomi is survived by her loving children, Frederick Duane (Kim) Meek, Jr. and Debra Wilson; grandchildren, Aaron (Michelle) Meek, Stewart (Emily) Meek, Dr. Jessee (Heath) Meek, Ryan (Ashley) Wilson and Tricia (Ty) Meek; great- grandchildren, Natalie, J.D., Deegan, Brogen, Takoda, Adalind, Bennett and Everett; siblings, Kathryn Phillabaum, Margaret Crosswhite, Ruth Bates, Albert Garretson, Anita Glazer and Jontie Garretson, Jr.; and Step-Children, Charles (Rhonda) Snyder and Victoria (Paul) Caitlin.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Frederick Meek, Sr. and Victor Snyder; and sister, Emogene Nesmith.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 26, 2023 from 11am-1pm at Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home, Massillon, with funeral services at 1pm, with Rev. Gary Smith, officiating. Burial will follow in East Union Lawn Cemetery.
