"Who can find a virtuous woman, for her price is far above rubies (Proverbs 31:10) Nancy Elaine Zehnder Cary went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 after a long battle with cancer. She was born on October 29, 1940 to the late John and Maxine Zehnder. She grew up in Winesburg, Ohio and moved to Canton where she graduated from McKinley High School. She married Dale E. Cary in 1960 and together they lived life and raised their children. Proverbs states that the virtuous woman does her husband good all the days of her life and he can safely trust her. Nancy was just that kind of spouse. She always chose what was best for her family and loved them unconditionally, and like the virtuous woman of Proverbs who opens her mouth with wisdom, Nancy was always a source of encouragement and wisdom to all of those she met. She was especially a source of inspiration to her children and grandchildren. She loved reading her bible and sharing the wonderful truths with anyone who would listen. Some of her greatest joy was giving to missions, various charities to help the less fortunate and organizations that shared her heart for the Jewish people and the land of Israel. Truly her family rises to call her blessed. She will be terribly missed until we meet again at the throne of God. "Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou (Nancy) excellest them all (Proverbs 31:29) She is survived by her husband of 56 years Dale Cary of Massillon, her daughters Kelly Lucas and Kathy Sykes both of Massillon, grandchildren, Sean, Stacy and Trevor; 2 great grandchildren; sisters, Sandra (Gorden) Weitzel; Kathy (Stan) Kashuba; brothers, John Zehnder; Mike (Maria) Zehnder; Steve (Cherrie) Zehnder and Randy Zehnder. Her parents preceded her in death. Visitation will take place Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home. The funeral will be on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the Massillon Baptist Temple. Additional visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. at the church on Monday. Burial will follow at Brookfield Cemetery.
