Myrtle M. Fetters

Myrtle M. (Houvig) Fetters, age 92 of Navarre, passed away Thursday, September 20, 2007 in Tennessee with her family by her side. She was born on August 10, 1915 in Navarre to the late Charles and Ella Houvig. Myrtle lived in Navarre until she and her husband retired and then moved to FL. She married her husband Kenneth and they shared 60 years of marriage before his passing in 1998. Myrtle had worked for Nickels Bakery for 28 years until retiring in 1979. She was a member of St. Clement Catholic Church in Navarre. Along with her parents and her husband she was preceded in death by her brothers, Jim and Buddy Houvig and infant brother Charles Houvig. She is survived by her children, Nancy (Robert) Alpeter of Navarre and Kenneth (Susan) Fetters of Smyrna TN; her grandchildren, Kenny Fetters of NM, Darla Gourly, Brenda Thompson and Tim Alter of Navarre, Noel Fetters of Montverde, FL, and Joy McDermott of Boothwyn, PA and her great-grandchildren, Jeremy Thompson of Massillon and David and Ronny Thompson of Navarre, Marissa and Michaela Fetters of NM, Tarrian Smith and Jada Bucher; great-great-grandchildren, 6; step-grandchildren, Stephanie and Jessica of Smyrna, TN. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, September 25th at 10:00 A.M. at St. Therese Catholic Church in Brewster. Calling hours will be held at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Navarre Tuesday morning from 9– 9:45 A. M. before the Mass at the church. Burial will follow at St. Clement’s Cemetery.
