Myrna J. Kandle

Myrna J. Kandle, 78, of Massillon, passed away at home on January 5, 2022 with her family by her side. She was born in Massillon on July 2, 1943 to James Kalleker and Shirla (Sword) Spangler. Mryna was very involved in her community and knew so many people that she was like a second mom to most. She met most of them through her in-home beauty salon, Myrna’s Beauty Salon, which she did for over 40 years. She was also a member of Newman Baptist Church, a 15 year member of the American Legion Women’s Auxillary #549, a member of the Eagles #190, and an avid bowler and board member of the Massillon Women’s Bowling Association. Myrna was also a dedicated Massillon Tiger fan, as well as being a long-time season ticket holder with her husband, Robert. Mryna and Robert also did extensive travelling throughout the world. They either visited or passed through all 50 states and travelled internationally to places like Australia, New Zealand and the Caribbean just to name a few. In addition to their vacation travelling, they also travelled to many casinos which they enjoyed doing together. She will be deeply missed by her daughters Jennifer (Brian) Wolfe and Luann (Chris) Ayers; mother Shirla Spangler; grandchildren Blake (Kelsey), Nickolas (Grace), Samuel (Andrew), Robert, Olivia and Zoey; two great-grandchildren Kara and Deacon; siblings Diane (Mike) Young, Dave Spangler and Dan (Chris) Spangler; brother and sister-in-law Bill (Judy) Kandle and sisters-in-law JoAnn Pfaus and Gerri Kandle. Mryna was preceded in death by her father James Kalleker and her beloved husband of 56 years, Robert Kandle. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 10th from 6-8 p.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at the funeral home at 11 a.m. with calling hours beginning at 10 a.m. The service will also be livestreamed on Tuesday at 11 a.m. by Clicking Here Burial will be at Brookfield Cemetery.
