Muriel I. Rice Heinsch, age 86 of Massillon, passed away on February 7, 2006 at Meadow Wind Health Care Center. Muriel was born on May 6, 1919 in Canton to the late Leroy and Frances McGuire. She lived in the area most of her life. Muriel worked as a nurses aide at Massillon State Hospital for 10 years, and also at Briner’s drug store. She was a member of Anchor Baptist Church. In her spare time she enjoyed cross word puzzles, sewing and bowling. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by: Husband’s: Stanley R. Rice and Russell Heinsch Daughter: Lois Gordon Son: Stanley C. Rice Brothers: Robert and Donald McGuire Sister: Thelma Forte Grandson: Stephen S. Ammon She is survived by: Daughters: Marie (Eugene) Ammon of Massillon Margie (Daniel) Tenley of Massillon Carol Rice of Florida Sister: Dorothy Benish of Massillon Grandchildren: 8 Great-grandchildren: 9 Great-great grandchildren:1 Step-children: Gerri, Bill, John and Laurie Many nieces and nephews Special Friend: Wanda Knight Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2006 at the Arnold- Lynch Funeral Home in Massillon at 12:00 p.m. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. prior to the service. Rev. Terry Weirich of Anchor Baptist Church will be officiating. Burial will follow at Massillon Cemetery. Family suggests donations be made to Anchor Baptist Church.
