Monroe S. Beachy, age 72 of Navarre, (formerly of Dalton and Doylestown), died peacefully early Monday morning in Massillon Affinity Hospital, following a lengthy and very difficult illness. Born in Walnut Creek, Ohio on March 18, 1934, Monroe was the son of Samuel and Mary Beachy . He was a lifelong resident of Ohio. He waswas preceded in death by an infant son, an infant granddaughter, Emily; his father Samuel Beachy and his brother Vernon Beachy. He is survived by his wife, Doris J. Beachy of Navarre, a daughter Vicky L. Demastus of Navarre, a son Bruce M. Beachy and his wife Judith of Conway, SC. In addition there are five grandchildren, five great grandchildren, his mother Mary, three sisters and a brother. There will be no calling hours; and at his request in lieu of a formal service there will be a time scheduled for family and friends to join together, and to celebrate his life and to share fond memories at Monroe & Doris’s home in Navarre. He will be sorely missed by all, but will always continue to live in our hearts. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Society, or donations to the family.
