Monica M. Kostic

Monica M. Kostic, age 81, of Massillon, passed away Friday morning. She was born in Massillon on June 4, 1925 to the late Stanley and Loretta (Wagner) Mutchler. Monica worked in the food preparation department at the Massillon State Hospital. She always enjoyed going to Mountaineer and Windsor with her family to play the slots. Monica was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her late husband, John Kostic; one son, John Kostic, Jr.; and two brothers, Arvine & Gene. She is survived by three daughters, Loretta and Terry DeVaughn of Massillon, Monica and Ed Gilbert of Salem, Jean and Kenny Dexter of Massillon; one brother, Jerry Mutchler of Massillon; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. The funeral service will take place on Monday at 1 p.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home. Friends may call one hour before the service. Deacon Nicholas Kostic will officiate.
