Monetta Traylor-Losey was born on May 18, 1940 in Massillon, Ohio to Howard and Irene Fox. She passed away on January 28, 2024 at Amherst Meadows Skilled Nursing and Rehab Facility after a brief illness.
She graduated from Washington High School in 1958. She retired as an office manager and bookkeeper for Vilet Asphalt. She enjoyed reading, watching game shows and was a loyal Cleveland Browns fan.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Jesse L. Traylor, her second husband, Terry Losey, her sister, Susan Gump, her sister-in-law, Charlotte Fox, and her aunt, Louise Lewis.
She is survived by her children, Bret (Stephanie) Traylor, and Tammie (Keith) Herring, Sr.; grandchildren, Lauren Herring, KJ Herring Jr., and Sydney Traylor (John) Garaja; great-granddaughter, Riley Garaja; brothers, Ronald (Joyce) Fox, and David Fox; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
A Homegoing Celebration of Monetta’s life will be held on Friday, February 2, 2024 at 11 a.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home. Elder Michael Clemmons of Morning Star UHC will be Officiating. Burial will follow at Brookfield Cemetery. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home from 10-11 am prior to the service.
