Mona L. Taylor

Mona L. Taylor, age 100, of Tuscarawas Township, passed away Thursday, February 5, 2015. Mona was born on March 14, 1914 in Oxford, WVa the daughter of John and Verna (Stout) Townsend. She was a long time member of the Massillon Baptist Temple. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ruble Taylor in 2001, her daughter Mary Taylor in 1959, 7 brothers and 4 sisters. She is survived by her daughters, Betty (Russell) Corban of Massillon, Jeanette Reese of Massillon, and Linda (David) Buckwalter of Lititz, PA; her grandchildren, Bruce Corban of Massillon, Cindy (Bruce) Werhan of Columbus, Robert (Patty) Corban of Westlake, Mark (Cindy) Hickey of Massillon, Michael (Jackie) Hickey of N. Canton, Danielle (Melissa Kate) Hickey, of Dundee, Matthew Hickey of Massillon, Tracy (Jan) Biddle of Canton, Troy (Chris) Biddle of Beaufort, SC; 11 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and her sister, Doris McCloy of Grafton, WVa. A Celebration of Mona's life will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Paquelet Funeral Home. Rev. Dan Sunde will be officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Hills Burial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10 – 11 a.m. before the service.
