Milton C. Howell, age 78 of Massillon, died Monday morning, March 26, 2007 at Mercy Medical Center. He was born on October 1, 1928 in Massillon and was the son of the late Clarence and Mildred (Pierce) Howell. He was a lifelong area resident. Following his graduation from Washington High School, Milton served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked at Republic Steel for 42 years, retiring as a foreman. He was a past president of the Stark Federal Credit Union and was a member of the Stark Investment Club. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Robert Howell. He is survived by his wife, Margaret (Kovatch) Howell, whom he married on January 20, 1956, his sons, Richard A. Howell of San Francisco, CA, Clarence R. Cosgrove of Perry Twp. and Daniel M. Cosgrove of North Hill, CA, 2 grandchildren, Julie (Russ) Baker and Christine (George) Koontz, 4 great grandchildren and his sisters, Evelyn (Donald) Stryffeler and Donna (Duane) Fildes both of Massillon. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday at 1:30 P.M. at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon with Rev. Kenneth Killian officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6-8 P.M. Memorials may be made in his name to either First Baptist Church in Massillon or the American Lung Association.
